FIBER 700 PF

product

FIBER 700 PF

Fiber 700 P is designed for cementitious applications where there is a need for a thixotrope and crack resistance, and also where high oil and water absorption is necessary. It is a fibrous filler that is chemically inert and is composed such that it is extremely uniform and easily dispersed within the desired mix. It is highly heat resistant and has strong dielectric characteristics rendering it very good in harsh chemical environments, particularly pool plaster applications, textured coatings and mortars. It will not exhibit any color interference with the end mix and facilitates smooth or textured coatings. It can be used in wet or dry mixes. There are several benefits and advantages of Fiber 700 P due to its fibrillated structure and its efficiency.

Benefits of Fiber 700 P

  • Improves dimensional stability (due to its three dimensional cross linking)

  • Yields outstanding matrix formulation

  • Improves crack resistance (inhibits cracking)Thixotropic control (can directly increase the viscosity of the formulation)Exhibits high shrinkage control upon drying for a wide variety of construction products

  • Improves workability

  • Improves trowelability

  • Excellent resistance to sunlight

  • Excellent resistance to mildew

  • Can be used to acquire smooth or textured finish

  • Shear thinning

  • Prevents settling of pigments

  • Very slight to non-hazardous (only considered very slightly hazardous because Clarke Minerals believes that all dusts can be harmful of inhaled)

  • Easily dispersed (fiber is not compressed for better dispersion)

  • Excellent in high oil absorption applications

  • Excellent in high water absorption applications such as pool plasters, exterior thinset applications etc

  • Excellent resistance to acids and alkali

  • Excellent resistance to solvents and bleaches

  • Setting time controlLonger open timeImproves water retention

  • Slump resistance and sag control (reduces sag)

  • Increased volumetric coverage

  • Excellent uniformity to avoid separation on mixingIncreases adhesive strengthIncreases green strength

  • Low dosing levels due to high efficiency (low density of product allows for only small percentages to be required)

  • Normally 0.5 - 2% by weight dosage rate depending on application desires
